Adult Advanced Piano
If you have a powerful foundation and love for piano, and have taken several years of private piano lessons, or even perform regularly or professionally, this class is for you!
Weekly, private classes begin with technical exercises, reviewing major, minor, harmonic, natural, melodic, chromatic scales in all keys, arpeggios, chord progressions, cadences, as well as sight-singing, sight-reading, ear training, theory, music history, and a repertoire study of many beloved masterworks, with an emphasis of versatile professional performance study as a sophisticated musician, preparing selections for recording and performance programs and collaborations, playing songs by heart with beautiful, creative, energetic musicality, as well as improvising, listening to music, and creating their own songs. Students have opportunities to collaborate with and accompany singers and other musicians. Classes end with performing a song or exercise of the student's choice.
If you are a seasoned professional pianist, keyboardist, and/or synth player and/or recording artist or preparing to release a single, EP or LP record or practicing for a new role, concert, music project, or tour, this class is also for you!
Emphasis on the art of song and piano, keys, or synth performance, musicians delve deep into song interpretation, honing technique, acting, artistic freedoms, honest delivery, electricity, and fine-tuning the art of simply "being".
Your teacher will recommend books and materials tailored to your child and some books we love are the The complete book of scales, chords, arpeggios, and cadences, Music for Millions Series, The Library of Piano Classics, The book of Cannons, 333 Reading Exercises, Kodaly Choral Method: 100 Hungarian Folk Songs and more!
Recommended materials: Tote Bag, Voice Recorder, notebook, a pencil with eraser, it is recommended that you have a piano in your home, your teacher will recommend books and recordings for your family.
